Officers from the Organized Crime Management Directorate arrested a 55 -year -old alien, a member of an international criminal group, who were active in the introduction of cocaine and heroin into the Greek territory, via the airway on Saturday morning.
In particular, according to ELAS, in the context of checks by the Drug Enforcement Division to prevent drug imports into the country through airways, after police and profiling (“profiling”), the 55 -year -old was identified and his criminal activity was certified.
As it became known by the police, the defendant, coming from a foreign country, was seized to introduce a significant amount of cocaine and heroin to the Greek territory, which he had hidden in his luggage in bags with dried shrimp.
Overall, the research carried out, among other things, found and seized: 16 improvised nylon packages, containing cocaine, totaling 2,835 grams and improvised nylon packaging, containing heroin, totaling 100 grams. The detainees were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
