The Delivery Ceremony of the new ultra -modern Air 360C aircraft took place on Monday afternoon at Elefsina Air Force Base
A new state -of -the -art BeechCraft King Air 360C aircraft, which will be used for the EKAB airlines, is now in its potential.
The Delivery Ceremony – is a donation by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN), to the Greek State – was made on Monday afternoon at the Elefsina Air Base, 112 Battle Wing, with the leadership of the Ministry of Health giving the “present”. The new aircraft will be able to carry two heavy sufferers as well as newborns, as it has an incubator and is expected to enable simultaneous intercourse.
Taking the floor, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis thanked the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for the donation, noting that the administration of the Foundation gave the “green light” for its purchase, just nine days after the request was made by the Ministry. “It is newer than the previous two, and has, in addition to incubator, toilet. The toilet is not a luxury. It is what allows this aircraft to flight beyond the country’s borders and transport patients to neighboring countries. It literally solves our hands, saves lives, and drastically upgrades the level of health services, which the Ministry of Health, the Hellenic Republic and EKAB can provide our fellow citizens, “Mr. Georgiadis said.
The aircraft is noted, in its basic features is the same as the two previous ones. The only difference is the toilet and that one stretcher can be removed so that overseas travel can travel longer distances, without refueling. One of his main responsibilities will be to transfer patients to Greece and abroad.

“We now have three aircraft and two helicopters that are air -rowing, saving lives across the country, supported by the Air Force. They are essentially a heavy burden on our transport planes. They are specialized planes, designed for that job,” the prime minister said.
He noted that Greece is a country with geographical peculiarities as islandness, and praised the importance of these aircraft and helicopters, “so that we can make safe and fast airlines in larger hospitals and thus meet the urgent health needs of the Greek population”.
