Speaking to SKAI and the show “Simera”, the president of the forensic medicine company, Grigoris Leon, noted that “medical examiners do not decide either as Pythias or as detectives. For the first two deaths, the same parents have taken care to give all the scientific data to the public and we judged them. “It follows that an important possibility for what has happened to these children is the possibility of suffocating death, which means oxygen deprivation.”
He added that a thorough check should be made in the medical file of the first child, emphasizing that “we are fortunate to have a complete medical history from the mother herself. “In her agony and interviews, she has described the exact moment of her children ‘s death.”
For her part, the president of the Medical Association of Patras, Anna Mastorakou, said that this is a complex case that will remain in the annals of science. “There is a rich history that is recorded through the treatments for both Malena and Georgina and we are very close to finding the truth,” he underlined.
Respectively, the president of the Association of Police Officers of Southeast Attica, George Kalliakmanis, explained that from the witnesses who will be called to testify at the level of pre-trial, it will be seen if there is evidence leading to pathological death or negligence or intentional crime. “We will have to wait for the final findings and the preliminary investigation, unless someone comes and confesses and says ‘I did it,'” he said.
