OPEKEPE notes that “there was cooperation” as opposed to what the European Prosecutor argues that the audit was “only achieved by ELAS”
OPECEPE describes what is stated in the European Prosecutor’s statement on the audit carried out at the agency’s offices on the prosecution.
In his response, OPEKEPE notes that “there was cooperation” as opposed to what the European Prosecutor claims that the audit “was achieved only thanks to the support of the Greek Police services”.
OPECEPE’s announcement:
“As is now known, on 19.05.2025, from 10am to 4th morning of the next day, following a prosecutor’s order, a check was carried out at the OPECE. With absolute success thanks to the essential subscription, with self -denial, of its executives, controlled or not.
The European Prosecutor, Mr. N. Paschalis, the Advocate of Appeals, issued a statement on 20.05.2025, where he states that there was no sincere cooperation with OPECEPE during the audit, And that the goal of the audit was finally achieved only thanks to the support of the services of the Greek Police. Consequently, the above finding implies that the Agency did not work in any way with the audit step.
The above lies of the principal prosecutor slander the organization and indirectly but clearly its new administration, which according to the main Paschalis has tolerated or even urged the organization’s executives to show such behavior. If the above were true, this would suggest that the new administration does not want substantial control but aims to cover any traits of the past.
The reality, however, proves just the opposite, as the organization’s new administration not only supported the control of control but, if needed, to disseminate plenty of light, is willing to assist in any further control, with the same positive disposition, which has already shown.
It would, of course, wish for the arrival of the auditors not to coincide with the arrival of television stations at the entrance of the organization, such as – perhaps coincidentally – occurred in the context of the aforementioned audit.

The result of the slanderous behavior of the European Prosecutor is to further worsen the Agency’s already adverse position, with the risk of the European Public Prosecutor’s announcement to contribute decisively to the removal of the agency’s accreditation, resulting in the inability to pay about 3 billion euros per year to Greeks and farmers.
For all the above reasons and if, within 48 hours of the issue of this press release, Mr. Paschalis does not recall the aforementioned falsely referred to in the European Public Prosecutor’s Office dated 20.05.2025, the Agency will appeal to justice to restore its reputation.
