SKAI had the great pleasure of seeing 4 journalists being honored with awards – these are V. Chiotis, P. Lampsia, G. Souliotis and H. Stratoulakos
In the presence of the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoula, the political and religious leadership today, the 39th awards of the journalistic awards and honors of the “Athanasios V. Botsis Journalism Foundation” and SKAI has the great pleasure of seeing 4 journalists.
These are:
- Santa Claus Chiotis
- Panagiotis Lampsia
- Giannis Souliotis
- Christos Stratoulakos

At the start of the event, in the context of the special honors that has established the Foundation to honor institutions, bodies and personalities for their significant social and national contribution, we awarded a special honor to the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece. Hieronym II for his ecclesiastical, pastoral, theological and broader spiritual contribution to Man and society. This special honor was attributed by the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas and the President of the Foundation, Panos Karagiannis and received it on behalf of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, by the Theophilist Bishop of Stavrodigi.
The Foundation’s journalistic awards and honorary journalistic discrimination have been awarded continuously since 1982 and have become an institution for journalism in our country.
This year, by decision of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, following a recommendation from the advisory, they were awarded to the journalists:
- A special honorary prize to George Papadakis for the 34 years of daily television, from the television station “ANT1” with the show “Good morning GREECE”.
- The “Award of the Athanasios V. Botsi Journalism Promotion Foundation” were honored (in alphabetical order):
Fivos Karzis for the radio documentary entitled “The Transition in First Person” broadcast by the NRA. Dimitris Kotaridis and Nina Kasimatis for their news broadcast “Weekend from 6” on public television. Panagiotis Lampsias for the objective coverage of political reporting in the printed press, radio and television. Michalis Mastis, for the promotion and promotion of social issues in the daily newspaper “Rhodiac”. Vangelis Papadimitriou, for the objective coverage and analysis of political reporting. Prodromos Papailiopoulos on his successful journalistic career and long -standing career in the television news management. Vassilis Chiotis for his objective and complete presentation of political reporting in the printed press, radio and television.
Special awards related to reports and have been instituted by bodies and journalistic associations, after a unanimous recommendation by the Advisory Committee were awarded as follows:
- The parliamentary report award, sponsored by the Greek Parliament, was awarded to Panagiotis (Panos) Tzannetatos.
- The Awards of Economic and Business Reportage, sponsored by the Athens Trade and Industry, were awarded to: Christos Doga for the objective information of public opinion on financial reports and to Maria expensive for the promotion of business reporting.
- The “PANOS SOMOLOS” Award for Police, Judicial and Free Report was awarded to Yiannis Souliotis for the objective and strict observance of journalistic ethics during the cover of the police report, at “KATHIMERINI” and the “Radio”.
- The correspondents & diplomatic report award was awarded to Alexandra Fotakis for the promotion and promotion of diplomatic reporting.
- The Local Government Award, sponsored by the Municipality of Athens, was awarded to the TV show “Perimeter” for the transfer daily of the pulse of the Greek region and the homogeneity, with the reliability and validity of public television.
- The Green Energy Award, sponsored by DEDDIE SA, was awarded to Marina Protonotariou for the journalistic highlighting of green and sustainable energy issues.
- The Athletic Report Award, sponsored by the PEACE & FRIEND STAGE, was awarded to Antonis Karpetopoulos for the promotion of sports reporting to the print, broadcasting and electronic press.
- The motor report award, sponsored by FlexCar SA, was awarded to George Andris for the highlight of the issues related to the automotive and promotion of motor reportage.
- The “GIORGOS KARAGIANNIS” Journalism & Technology Award, sponsored by EUROPEAN INSUTITUTITURE (ECI), was awarded to Alexandros Markou for the utilization of audiovisual technologies in combination with quality journalism promoting the Inter -Balkan Good Neighborhood.
- The original journalistic award was awarded to: Elena Papadimitriou as the director of the FYI.news journalism organization who is in the center of the younger digital generations. To Dimitris Petropoulos for the website “mixanitouxronou.gr” and Andreas Loudaros for the creation of the “orthodoxia.info” news website.
- The “SOCRAIDIS” Award of the Association of Journalists of the Magazine TYPE Owners was awarded to Michalis Savvakis for the publication of 1981 until today of the magazine “Fisheries NEWS”.
- The “JUDGE” Award of the Provincial Professional Owners’ Association was awarded to Zoe Pantazis for the publication of the newspaper “NEA of Epirus”
Honors to two journalists of RES-EIA
With honors, awarded to journalists who have been distinguished for their course, morality and work, upon recommendation by the Advisory Committee, the:
- Nikos Hassapopoulos for more than 50 years in the fighting political report – from 1974 to the present – in print, electronic press and broadcasting.
- Dimitris Dimitrakoudis for his responses for over 50 years from Vienna and Central Europe in Greek media.
- Athanasios Metsios for his 30 years of journalistic career as well as his excellent career in RES-EIA.
- Nikos Synodinos for his contribution to the promotion of sports reporting.
- Marina Rizogiannis for the promotion of social news and events that are positive examples in the daily newspaper “Peloponnese”.
- Christos Stratoulakos for the promotion of combat journalism and promoting the issues of the Region and
- Nicole Kazantzidou to highlight the tourist reporting in RES-EIA.

P. Marinakis: “It is our duty to think of those and those in the war zone”
At the start of the event, the president of the Panagiotis Karagiannis Foundation spent speech. Short greetings were addressed by the president of POSSY Sotiris Triantafyllou, the President of ESIEA, Maria Antoniadou and the Undersecretary of State, despite the Prime Minister and Government Spokesman, in charge of the media Pavlos Marinakis.
It is our duty to think of those and those who are in the war zone, those and those lost in duty, Mr. Marinakis stressed, adding that for the safety of journalists they have started in collaboration with journalistic associations, seminars on shipping or naturalized missions.
