The school complex at Skra Square will remain closed next Monday, May 26th, where the 5th and 13th Primary Schools as well as the 27th Kindergarten are housed, as a case of streptococcus was found in a toddler, as transmitted by Voria.gr.

According to a statement by the Municipality of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, it will remain closed from Saturday 24/5 until Monday 26/5 and the indoor gym inside the complex.

The decision, according to the municipality, was taken for precautionary reasons and in the context of protection of public health, in accordance with the Directives of the National Organization of Public Health (EDY). All school facilities will be completely disinfected to ensure their safe reopening.

The Municipality of Kalamaria is in constant contact with the school’s school principals, who have been instructed to immediately inform the students and guardians of the students.
