It is recalled that, in the group “The tireless needle” that was created a year ago, about 110 women have been registered, but the basic and permanently active nucleus is about 20-30 members. The ladies who participate are from different cities of Greece and using social media, they communicate and coordinate the whole process.
The majority of the volunteers are engaged in sewing as amateurs and participate by making various constructions from fabric that they have agreed on. Some others help in the collection and packaging of the items, others in their delivery. There are also many people, mostly friends of members but also companies, who are not involved in sewing, but offer to help in other ways, donate fabrics and packaging materials or send gifts to children, which are delivered by these excellent “love seamstresses” », Together with their constructions.
