“With the conviction of the former Primary Education Committee Administrator of the 1st Municipal Community, the Commission Fund was completed during the period of the previous Municipal Authority of Bakoyannis,” the Municipality of Athens said:

“The convicted person embezzled 75,000 euros between December 23, 2019 and January 3, 2020, of which EUR 32,500 were transferred directly to a betting company, while 42,500 euros were deposited in his personal account. The Second Three -Member Criminal Court of Athens imposed a 12 -month sentence with a three -year suspension. The betting company returned the amount of 32,500 euros to the school committee account, while the convicted person returned in 2024 and the remaining amount that had been misappropriated. “
