A new case of fraud came to light this time with a volunteer in the UNESCO Tourism Department, approaching clubs at organization’s events and suggested traveling.

According to SKAI’s exclusive report, a recent example was a supposed trip to Constantinople, where dance festivals were held. He managed and persuaded 3 clubs with a total of 130 people. After being supposed to be all organized and the tickets were left – by car or by air – and the participants had paid no information and no evidence in their hands.

The trip would take place in February. According to the report of 40-45 people who would move to a coach to Constantinople, they suffered a huge hassle. They went to the point where they were set to pick up the coach 4.00 in the early morning but the vehicle never arrived.

Citizens’ testimonies of the deceased called the organizer who told them the excuse that it was wrong on the date of the trip.

As it turned out, the trips were closed on dates that had no flights.

In a communication by SKAI with the UNESCO President in Greece, Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, this woman was a trustee member and when she went to the organization to register, she had reported a trip to Constantinople. According to Mr Maronitis, she was made clear that the trip could not be possible. “A month before the excursions we learned that he was using the name of the organization and deleted it on the same day and from a test member,” he noted, adding that a lawsuit was filed for fraud.

According to the data, this woman is not in Greece and asked by the SKAI journalist about complaints that she himself fell victim to a travel agency with which she co -organized the excursions.
