A major upheaval was caused on Wednesday afternoon in Kallithea when a fire broke out in an apartment on Gripari Street, where an elderly man was in.
Authorities alerted the authorities and two fire trucks quickly rushed to the spot. The fire, however, was quickly dimensional and as they saw the elderly seek help from the balcony, it was called to send aid. A total of 14 firefighters with five vehicles arrived at the spot. The agony culminated when the old man began to say he wanted to jump, with police, firefighters and neighbors begging him to have a little patience.
Due to this development, the firefighters self -sacrificed within the burning apartment and immediately approached the balcony to ensure that the elderly did not fall. Due to the shock he had suffered, the grandfather had been hooked on the balcony and refused to follow the firefighters, as the smoke was still dense behind him.
The firefighters stayed with him on the balcony until the flames were limited and managed to calm him down. A few minutes later, an EKAB ambulance arrived at the spot, which is currently providing first aid to the elderly.
