The three Turkish mobsters who opened fire on the EYP vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in Thermi, Thessaloniki, remain invisible. At the same time, the four EYP officials who participated in the incident filed today to their colleaguesto the Directorate of Organized Crime.
According to what was transmitted In SKAI’s main newsletterOf particular interest is the deposition of the anti -policeman, who was also the one who was in the car that received the fire from the Turkish nationals. In his testimony he described in detail what happened that day while giving a detail which was not known until now.
As he said, as soon as he saw the Turks’ gray jeep stopping at the gas station, he also stopped his own vehicle about 300 meters before the gas station. When he saw one of the three occupants heading towards him, he put in front of him and developed speed passing in front of the gray jeep. Then he accepted the three shots.
Important detail as he said, was that when he tried to leave the spot he saw from the mirror the gray vehicle of the perpetrators move temporarily alongside its own vehicle, as if he is trying to pursue him in some way.
The conclusion reached by the EYP official and police officers is that the perpetrators tried to discern who was in the driver’s seat in an attempt to recognize him. Then the pursuit was interrupted.
Why didn’t agents use weapons?
At the same time, one of the questions that arise is why the EYP agents did not use their weapons as soon as they were attacked despite the fact that they were armed and wore bulletproof vests.
So they didn’t seem to do so because they did not judge that they had to react in this way.
The manhunt by the authorities to identify them continues, but there is concern that they have escaped the country.
