A 34 -year -old man was arrested in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, for the shocking incident of a cat’s torture and killing.
The 34 -year -old has recorded a video kicking a kitten that loses his senses and then passes over the animal by car on Tuesday morning (3/6).
The Municipality of Kalamaria expressed in its announcement, its anger over this particular incident of torture and killing animal, stressing that “violence has no place in our society” and that “respect for life is a non -negotiable value”.
“The shocking incident of torture and killing an animal in Kalamaria, which came to light, is deeply enraged and offends the culture of our city.
As a Municipal Authority, we declare our anger for this heinous act.
Kalamaria is a city that recognizes the right of every creature in life, safety and dignity.
We call on the authorities to immediately identify the perpetrator and to apply the law to its fullness, as provided by strict animal abuse legislation.
Violence has no place in our society.
Respect for life is a value non -negotiable. “
