Without concentrating the required majority, the current electoral process for the emergence of the Rector at the Aristotle University was completed.
According to a statement by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the meeting of the University Board of Directors was completed to appoint the Rector. The electoral process was carried out by secret ballot and electronically, through the Special Information System “Digital Bulletin”.
It is recalled that candidates for the post of the Rector among the internal members of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are, in alphabetical order, by professors Kyriakos Anastasiadis and Efstratios Stylianidis.
Professor of Medicine Department of the School of Health Sciences Kyriakos Anastasiadis received 3 votes and the professor of the Department of Spatial Planning and Development of the Technical School of Efstratios Stylianidis received 2 votes, and there were six white.
Because today’s meeting of the eleventh Council of Administration of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki did not achieve the required majority of seven elevenths (7/11) for the election of the Rector, the electoral process will be repeated tomorrow, Wednesday, June 11th, where the absolute majority of the members will be required.
