Citizens now have the ability to complete digital parental benefits, donations and earnings earnings in cooperation with their notary via the platform akinita.gov.gr, and to date it was only available for sale.

This new feature is part of the digital real estate transfer file, which is already in full productive function, significantly accelerating the procedures for sale. The expansion of the platform and its new functions aim to immediately serve citizens without delay, turning the submission and registration of their contract into a working day.

Since the start of the pilot operation of the digital file, 1,838 real estate sales have already been completed, with an average process of handling only one business day if no previous issues occur. Even in more complex cases with pending real estate than the now abolished registries, the average completion time is also extremely low in four business days.

The platform akinita.gov.gr simplifies the process of submitting the contracts through interoperability with basic public information systems. More specifically:

  • Notaries start the transfer folder via akinita.gov.gr.
  • Citizens involved receive alert and give taxisnet authorization.
  • The platform automatically draws all the necessary supporting documents through interconnection with the systems of AADE, EFKA, Land Registry and TEE.
  • The transfer tax and the relevant fees are paid digitally by card, ebanking and more.
  • The act is submitted electronically to the Land Registry and registered within 24 hours, provided that there are no pending.

The Deputy Minister of Digital Government, Christos Boukoros, said: “The Greek Land Registry is turning a page. The procedures for the registration and registration of a contract, which once required weeks, are now completed digitally, directly and with transparency. With akinita.gov.gr, citizens in collaboration with notaries can transfer their property, either due to sale, donation or who have acquired through inheritance, without bureaucracy and waiting. Gradually, we leave behind the hundreds of thousands of pending past and, with the support of our employees, we aim by the end of 2025 to convert the carrier into a modern fully digital standard, with zero delays and absolute security. “

The platform akinita.gov.gr is now the digital center for the transfer of real estate to the country, providing both citizens and professionals a modern, safe and reliable environment for all transfer operations.
