Video with instructions for citizens who will use the innovative high -cost “home” drug mission service, which is provided free of charge for the first time by an insurance organization in Europe and launched on Monday, June 16th.

The new measure concerns about 139,000 patients who visit EOPYY pharmacies on a monthly or bi -monthly basis. Today more than 120,000 patients visit EOPYY pharmacies per month to obtain high -cost medicines.

Each patient can, if he wishes, without any burden, take his medicines, whether he is a cold chain or not, in his home, office, or even his cottage during the summer months, within 24 to 48 hours depending on the distance. The recipes are controlled and executed by pharmacists, while the distribution is carried out by a certified logistics company, with strict specifications to ensure personal data, traceability and specialized procedures for sensitive cold chain preparations.

The application process is done through the EOPYY online platform (https://www.eopyy.gov.gr/), while full support via Helpdesk is provided in pharmacies and service points of the organization as well as through the new call center, Call Center at 1 81 81.
