Autopsies in significant flood protection projects in the area of ​​Varis and Vrilissia was carried out by Attica Regional Governor Nikos Chardalias.

The flood protection project in the Vari region concerns the settlement of the Corby stream, another project that has been under study and discussion of dozens of years. The project began in February 2025 and its progress is important. He is the main recipient of the eastern part of the Municipal Unit of Vari, the “Corby” area and a large part of the Municipality of Kropia.

The second autopsy took place in the Vrilissia area and concerns the construction of rainwater drainage networks and water hacking systems at Vrilissia.

In recent months, 2,850 meters from 5,488 meters of cement pipe pipelines have been constructed, as provided for up to 195 of the 350 hydrospical wells.

“Today, throughout the basin we have 12 flood protection projects in progress, of which 5 are trying to complete this year. At the same time we are ongoing 8 maintenance contracts, namely stream cleaning, slope retaining and well -cleaning. Significant projects, such as that of its Ploskepus section for decades of abandoned and gross Kifissos. And our workshops continue to work constantly every day. And by the end of 2025, an additional 20 new flood protection projects will be auctioned, in addition to maintenance projects. We continue, with a plan, with a timetable, with the responsibility imposed on the big bet on the flood shield of every corner of our basin, “said Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hradalias.
