The innovation award Beyond Innovation Awards 22 of the Economist was received by PPC during its event Economist on the subject «Technology and Innovation in 2022 and beyond».

The digital upheavals, challenges and opportunities for the next decade were at the center of the event held at the Cultural Center – Stavros Niarchos Foundation, in the presence of the Minister of Digital Policy Kyriakos Pierrakakis and distinguished researchers.

In the context of the event, it was pointed out that PPC has proceeded in the last two years in one mlarge-scale digitization, focusing on online connections and with the primary goal of facilitating and satisfying its customers. It has also dramatically strengthened and modernized IT infrastructure, intercompany communication and the multi-data load strategy.

Specifically:

  • Created the first digital product “PPC – My Home Online”,
  • It offered the possibility of scheduling electronic appointments at a predetermined time for any transaction in 75 stores,
  • Create the e-contract application on its website, so that the customer can submit any request without going to the store,
  • Created the “Automatic Digital Assistant” which allows continuous two-way interaction every day and 24 hours a day, offering information on products and services through the PPC website, through the PPC Facebook page, but also through the messenger application,
  • The first 2 Pop-up stores in major shopping malls of Athens (Golden Hall) and Thessaloniki (Mediterranean Cosmos), designed with emphasis on interactivity and the new digital environment,
  • He redesigned the stores with an emphasis on fast and easy customer service.
  • Complete the redesign of the dei.gr website so that the new website responds directly and simply to the requests of the public and of course to the needs of the customers.

Respectively, in a short period of time it managed to create a digital working environment for the thousands of employees all over Greece.

Upon receiving the award from the head of the Economist Intelligence Unit, Alasdair Ross, PPC Deputy CEO Alexandros Paterakis said: “I am very proud to receive this award on behalf of the people of PPC. Two years after the outbreak of the pandemic, we have all been called upon to play an important role, to rise to the occasion, to meet the expectations of our citizens and customers, and to ensure that this organization, in all its length and breadth and throughout the territory of the country, will be able to respond despite adversity. We have managed to a great extent to have zero business problems, we have managed to make significant changes in the way we work. PPC now has a digital face “.
