To 741.006 people amounted to all registered unemployed In the Public Employment Service Register (DBA) in May 2025, recording reduction 53,746 (-6.8%) compared to the corresponding month of the previous year May 2024 and a reduction of 70,318 (-8.7%) compared to the previous month March 2025.

In addition, the number of subsidies for May 2025 amounted to 126,733 people recording an increase of 45,278 (55.6%) compared to the corresponding month of the previous year May 2024 and a decrease of 29,323 (18.8%) compared to the previous month April 2025.

According to the statistics of the registered Unemployment of the DBA, out of 741,006 people, 429,323 (57.9%) are registered in the DBA register for a period of equal or more than 12 months and 311.683 (45.1%) registered in the register of the West of 12 months less than 12 months.

Men amounted to 247,266 people (33.4%) and women amounted to 493,740 (66.6%).

The 30-44-year-old age classed the largest number of registered unemployed among the age categories, which amounted to 223,920 (30.2%).

The secondary education level, including post -secondary education, has gathered the largest number of registered unemployed among the educational levels, which amounted to 352,335 people (47.5%).

Among the regions of the country, the Region of Attica and the Region of Central Macedonia record the largest number of registered, which amounts to 253,657 (34.2%) and 151,142 people (20.4%) respectively.

The total of subsidized unemployed, for the month of May 2025, (relates to the number of beneficiaries paid within the corresponding month) is 126,733, of which 104,933 (82.8%) are common unemployed and other categories of subsidized unemployed and 21,800 (17.2%). Men are 55,666 (43.9%) and women at 71,067 (56.1%).

Of the total subsidized unemployed 99,991 (78.9%) are common, 2,587 (2.0%) are builders, 21,800 (17.2%) are seasonal tourism professions, 1,942 (1.5%) are seasonal (agricultural), 338 (0.3%) and 75%(0.3%).
