Five (5) high -value amphorae were found inside a 53 -year -old domestic vehicle in the morning (19/6) in the Alimos area by police officers from the Southeast Attica Crimes Prosecution and Crimes.

He was filed against him for theft and embezzlement of particularly high value monuments, a violation of the law on the obligation to declare a monument and weapons.

In particular, after utilizing information and analysis of information data, police officers put the accused in discreet surveillance and in a investigation that conducted in the early hours of yesterday (19/6) in his vehicle, found and confiscated:

  • 3 Senior Incorpoints of the 5th-3rd-3rd Century Ampit
  • Single of the 5th-1st of Christ Century Amphorae of 5th century,
  • nine of the Byzantine era amphora and
  • Hunting weapon.

The amphorae were transferred to the headquarters of this service and were examined by an archaeologist of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands who have known that they fall under the protective provisions of the Act on Antiquities Protection.

The detainee was taken to the Athens Criminal Prosecutor.
