The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement recommending Greek citizens to avoid unnecessary trips to the wider Middle East, due to recent developments and temporary restrictions on air traffic in Qatar and Bahrain.
At the same time, due to temporary restrictions on the air traffic in Qatar and Bahrain, it calls on those Greeks already in the area to contact their airlines, monitor information from official sources, and comply with local authorities’ instructions.
The Foreign Ministry also recalls that the recommendation of avoiding visits to Syria, which has been issued since December 7, 2024, remains in force.
The announcement also lists the contact information of the Greek embassies in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Baghdad, Kuwait and Riyadh, for citizens who need subscription or information.
