US President Donald Trump has called on Iran to move towards peace and harmony in the Middle East, stressing that he would also encourage Israel to follow the same path. His statement came shortly after the Iranian response to US attacks on Tehran’s nuclear facilities.
Trump described Iran’s reaction “very weak”, noting that it was expected and that the United States had effectively treated it. He said, 14 missiles were launched, 13 of which were shot down, while one “remained unobstructed” because he was not directed for a threatening target.
He also argued that there were no Americans injuries and that the damage was minimal. “The most important,” he added, “is that Iran seems to have taken them out of his system and, we hope, there will be no further hatred.”
Finally, he thanked Tehran for timely notice, saying that it allowed it to avoid loss.
Trump’s statement comes amid escalation in the Middle East, in the echo of rocket exchanges and air strikes between the US, Iran and Israel.
The president’s post in detail:
“Iran officially responded to the total destruction of its nuclear facilities with a very weak reaction, which we expected and faced with complete success. A total of 14 missiles were launched – 13 were dismissed, and 1 “remained unobstructed” because it was heading for a non -threatening area.
I am pleased to say that no American was injured and that there were hardly any damage. Most importantly, they seem to have “got it out of them” and, hopefully, there will be no further half.
I would like to thank Iran for the timely notice it has given us, which allowed no lives not to be lost and not to be injured. Perhaps now, Iran can go to peace and harmony in the region – and I will encourage with enthusiasm and Israel to do the same.
Thank you for your attention to the issue!‘
“Congratulations, it’s time for peace!”
