All the departments of the Municipality of Athens were raised on alert, due to the very high risk of fire and the strong winds expected to prevail. Taking into account the measures provided for in Attica in alarm situations, the Lycabettus hill will remain closed for any activity until newer. The traffic ban is implemented by midnight on Saturday to Sunday.
According to the Civil Protection Plan of the Municipality of Athens, alert workers will be patrolled 24 -hour. The Municipal Police Directorate is on the alert of soil and air with drones, to control hills and areas of increased risk. It is noted that the thermal camera, which allows to detect temperature changes, will mirror large green spaces in the city center. Aquifers of the Municipality will also be on alert.
The Municipal Police Center will operate on a 24 -hour basis for the information and assistance of the Fire Brigade, as well as other services and municipalities, if needed.
