One of the founders of Hamas and a central official who organized the October 7th attack was eliminated last night in an air raid in the Sabra district of Gaza, the Israeli army (IDF) said.

This is Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-issa, who until recently was the leader of a personnel in the Hamas Military arm and administrative support. According to IDF, Al-Isa “was one of the last senior officials who remained in the Gaza Strip after October 7”.

In the past he had undertaken to reinforce Hamas’s armed forces in Gaza, founded the Operations Division of its military arm, led the training of the fighters and participated in the General Military Council.

The IDFs point out that al-Isa “took an active part in the design and implementation of the deadly attack of October 7”.

During the current conflict, and until recently, he was responsible for supporting battlefields, planning air and sea attacks against Israeli citizens and forces, as well as for the restoration of Hamas forces after the damage they suffered.
