The new leadership of the Supreme Court was chosen by the cabinet, accepting the proposal of Justice Minister George Floridis.

Konstantinos Tzavellas is appointed a new prosecutor of the Supreme Court while the new president of the Supreme Court is Anastasia Papadopoulou.

The new Prosecutor of the Supreme Court in the process of defaulting the House (Committee on Institutions and Transparency) came second in votes, as the Supreme Court’s vice -prosecutor Vasilis Floridis was voted in voting, who is a brother of the Minister of Justice.

Konstantinos Tzavelas will remain in place of the Supreme Public Prosecutor until June 2026, whenever he retires.

The Vice President of the Supreme Court Anastasia Papadopoulou was chosen in the position of President of the Supreme Court

For the last three years he has been Director of the National School of Judges, producing important work.

Mrs. Papadopoulou will remain in the Presidency of the Supreme Court for a year, as well as she retired in June 2026.

During the vote in the Plenary of the AP, fourth came to the selection of her colleagues, first with Vice President Alexandra Apostolakis, who is the chairman of the Judicial Council for former Deputy Minister of Government Christos Triantopoulos, who is investigating his breach of the case.

However, Mrs. Anastasia Papadopoulou gathered the majority of the votes in the House of Representatives after hearing supreme judges by the Committee on Institutions and Transparency.

In the coming days, the procedure for default by the House of Representatives for the positions of Vice -Presidents in the Supreme Courts will be completed, so that the Council of Ministers will then decide.
