The Commission is meeting today: The escalation of cases is delaying the easing of measures

by

The Committee of Experts is meeting today at 14.00 to decide on further easing of measuresat a time when the pandemic is on the riseas well as yesterday the cases approached 30,000 cases.

Although the government has announced the lifting of the measures, especially with regard to the abolition of vaccination certificates, it is not ruled out that the experts will postpone the relevant decisions for May and not for the Easter period.

In particular, the table will put the access of the unvaccinated in the restaurant, but also the abolition of the obligation to show a negative rapid test in order to enter the shops. Rapid or PCR testing may be mandatory for access to the restaurant, of course.

As for the use of the mask, in the first phase it is expected to be abolished in most interiors, however it will probably be maintained in some “high risk” areas, such as hospitals, MMM and supermarkets.

At the same time, for the vaccinated, the government plans to lift the obligation to present the vaccination certificate as we approach the summer.

In any case, the 5-day quarantine for those with coronavirus will not be reduced.
