The Cupra Born is coming to give a new impetus to the electric car market. The first 100% electric vehicle of Cupra has advanced technology for strong emotions, combined with a frame that evokes driving emotions in every condition as well as impressive design.

The Cupra Born with rear wheel drive creates a more sporty driving feel and experience. Available in 150 PS (110 kW) / 310 Nm and 204 PS (150 kW) / 310 Nm performance versions. The high-performance Born also offers the e-Boost performance package increasing efficiency to 231 PS (170 kW) / 310 Nm. The e-Boost is available with two battery options: With the 77 kWh battery that offers acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 7 seconds and a range of about 540km, and with the 58kWh battery with 0-100 km / h coming in just 6 , 6 seconds and with a range of up to 424 km. In addition, the e-Boost package includes larger front brakes and standard 19 ”wheels as well as Cupra steering wheel with satellite buttons.

The Cupra Born uses a water-cooled lithium-ion battery placed low and central in the car to offer better weight distribution (50% front, 50% rear) and reduce the impact of increased weight.

The Born has three battery options with a capacity of 45 kWh, 58 kWh and 77 kWh and with a maximum range of about 540 km with a single charge according to the official WLTP test cycle. Achieving a wide range of autonomy is achieved by the advanced thermal management system that maintains the optimum battery temperature.
In terms of recharging times, in just 7 minutes an additional 100 km of autonomy can be added using a charging point of 170kW. Even if the battery charge status is only at 5%, it can be recharged to 80% in just 35 minutes. The Cupra Born can be connected to both AC (up to 11 kW) and DC (up to 170 kW) charging networks, so whether you are on the road or at home, recharging the battery is quick and easy.

Sales prices start from € 33,900 (before state subsidy), while the first available version is the one with the 58 kWh and 204 PS battery.
