Today, July 17, in Brussels, the Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas is organizing two dialogues to promote the charity of the European Union Transport (EU). Particular emphasis will be placed on renewable fuel and low carbonated fuel fuels in the sectors of shipping and aviation, as well as the transition to zero emissions.
The first, a dialogue on the application, will focus on sustainable fuels on marine and air transport. Efforts will be considered to expand the use of low carbonated fuel and fuel in air and maritime transport, which is vital to reducing fossil fuels in the context of the Commission’s political guidelines for the period 2024-2029. As Refueleu Aviation and Fueleu Maritime initiatives have already been implemented, participants will make their observations on their implementation, which will even be incorporated into the forthcoming investment plan for sustainable transport.
The second dialogue, a dialogue with interested parties, which is a special meeting with key participants, will explore the issue of zero -emissions corporate fleets, considering how to expand the use of zero emissions in corporate fleets and 60 trucks – and thus constitute a key lever for reducing emissions from road transport. The dialogue will contacted businesses representing various types of corporate fleets and various sectors, such as leasing and renting vehicles, postal services, taxis and related services, road carriers, supply, car suppliers, non -governmental manufacturers.
