A fire that broke out on Saturday morning, July 26th in a farm area in the Pitsinades of Kythera.
The fire immediately took dimensions due to the winds and a short time later sent a message from 112 to the residents, to evacuate the Pitsiades area and head to Aroniadika.
A second message followed as the flames also approached the Aroniadika with the authorities calling on the residents to remove from this area and head to the Fraligianika.

The Fire Service was immediately mobilized, with 24 firefighters, a section of the 9th EME, six vehicles, volunteers, and aerial means, a helicopter and two aircraft).
In addition, aid arrives ferry from Neapoli, Laconia, with seven firefighters from the 6th EME.
