In recession is the fire that occurred on Monday afternoon near the Polytechnic in the Municipality of Zografos Attica. The flames began in a forest area, located at the foot of Ymittos and adjacent to residential zones and educational institutions.
In the meantime, the firefighters have been strengthened and 110 firefighters are operating with 5 groups of 1st EME hikers, 30 vehicles, and volunteers. 11 aircraft and 8 helicopters have been made available for the aircraft, one for coordination. Due to the large mobilization, the fire came under control almost half an hour after its occurrence and then the traffic arrangements were implemented.
In addition, a while ago a warning message was sent by 112 to residents of the wider area inviting them to remain on alert and follow the instructions of the authorities.

Firefighters are making superhuman efforts to prevent the fire from expanding to residential fabric or university facilities.
According to a newer update from ELAS all traffic arrangements were lifted which had been applied earlier due to the fire, which occurred earlier.
