At the ICU of Lamia Hospital, a 67 -year -old man from the Municipality of Amfiklia – Elatia had symptoms of heat stroke.
This is the first reported victim of the multi-day heatwave that still hit our country with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees and even reaching 45 for at least 10-12 hours daily in the last 8 days.
According to lamiareport.gr, the unfortunate man who resides permanently in the area felt discomfort and fatigue on Saturday afternoon and sought help at the Amfiklia Health Center.
The incident was described as very serious and as reported heat stroke was admitted by ambulance to Lamia Hospital.
His condition continued to get worse, but the bad thing was that there was no free bed in the ICU before Saturday night when he eventually joined the unit.
Unfortunately, his condition did not improve and on Sunday afternoon left his last breath of polyorganic deficiency.
We remind you that on Thursday (24/7/25) we had another 51 -year -old’s heat stroke incident from Lamia, who had to be intubated.
