Two women in Thessaloniki were savagely attacked by dogs – The owner was convicted

The two victims, colleagues, about 55 years old, described to the Court the incident, which took place on the afternoon of March 20, in a rural area, outside Thessaloniki. «We thought we would not come out aliveThey testified, pointing out the injuries inflicted on them both dogs (s.s. are described in the indictment as Rottweilers, but not purebred).

One of them appeared sitting on wheelchair because of the injuries he suffered, he said. Examined from the headquarters, she spoke about ten bite wounds all over her body, emphasizing that she was hospitalized for a week at the 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki. The second victim also suffered injuries, but returned to her home after receiving first aid.

For his part, the accused clarified that the dogs they had never behaved aggressively the previous 1.5 years, since it hosts them on the company’s premises. According to him, he has them for safekeeping, because the place is secluded and burglaries often occur. “It is impossible to fence the entire area of ​​the factory, which is large,” he apologized.

Previously, as a witness, his mother stated that “during the day we close them in a fenced house and at night they move freely”, while he estimated that they must have come out “from a nearby place that we did not notice”.
