One of the most acclaimed models in the Greek car market, in the category of supermini (B), is the Nissan Micra, which is available exclusively with a 1.0lt turbo gasoline engine with 92 “live” horsepower.

I had the opportunity to drive the sportiest version of the model, the N-Sport, which really stands out aesthetically, as well as how we do it, the eye is what wants to get the first impressions.

The Micra is one of the most aggressive models available, both at the front, with the almost wedge-shaped muzzle, and at the side, with the raised window line at the rear, which gives it extra dynamism.

Especially the color of the test car, but also the orange, are colors that make the Micra stand out.

Nissan endowed the N-Sport version with glossy, black finishes on the front, side and rear, new black mirror covers, 17-inch Perso wheels, alloy in black, fog lamps and LED headlights, which provide better lighting .

All this on the outside, as well as inside, the combination of leather and alcantara, in the seats, but also plastic – alcantara on the dashboard, give a more luxurious feel. The seats embrace the body, on the one hand to provide stability and comfort on the other hand, especially on long distances. The sporty image is complemented by the flat-bottomed steering wheel, while the NissanTonnect navigation system with TomTom navigation is available as an option, as well as the Apple CarPlay with Siri voice recognition and Android Auto with Google Assistant, additional in-car entertainment features.

In addition to appearance, comfort and amenities, the road looks tough with 92 hp at 5,000 rpm, with 160 Nm of torque coming from 2,000 rpm. up to 3,750 rpm The cooperation with the 5-speed manual transmission is quite good, but high you would also like a 6th gear, which in the city, of course, is not necessary.

Fuel consumption can fall below 7 liters per 100 km, driving normally and not at the speed limits, while the final speed of 178 km / h, you want it only for the feeling and not to catch it on the highway.

The engine complies with Euro 6d emission standards, with carbon dioxide emissions ranging from 124 to 130 g / km, which does not allow it to move within the Athens ring, daily. But we must learn not to drive in the center, for many reasons, to decongest the situation, to reduce pollution.

Well-balanced driving, although the suspension is a bit tight and needs attention in the potholes, for the protection of the rims – tires, you thank it in the closed parts, while in the straights its aerodynamics reduces the oscillations from the strong wind.

With very rich comfort and safety equipment, such as: Hill Start Assistance, Intelligent Ride Control and Intelligent Trace Control, the price of the N-Sport version is 17,390 euros, with an additional charge of 450 euros for the metallic color.
