October 28: Traffic regulations in Athens and Piraeus – Which roads are closed |

Due to the student parades for the celebration of the National Anniversary of October 28, today, Thursday, extraordinary traffic regulations will be carried out in all the Municipalities of Attica.

The regulations will provide for a gradual cessation of traffic from 08.00 and a ban on stopping and parking them from 06.00, depending on the prevailing traffic conditions and until the end of the events.

In particular, in the Municipalities of Athens and Piraeus, the traffic of vehicles on the following streets and avenues will be stopped as follows:

MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS (Central Parade), from 09.00 until the end of the parade:

– Vas. Amalias Avenue, along its entire length and perpendicular to the first parallel road.

– El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length and perpendicular to the first parallel street.

– Vas. Sofias Avenue, in the section between Vas. Konstantinos Avenue and El. Venizelou (University) in both (2) traffic streams, as well as in its perpendiculars up to the first parallel road.

– L. Syggrou, in the section between Ath. Diakou and Dionysiou Areopagitou streets.

– Ath. Diakou, along its entire length and perpendicular to the first parallel road.

MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS [Καθεδρικός Μητροπολιτικός Ναός Αθηνών (Δοξολογία)], from 06.00 until the end of the events:

– Metropolis, along its entire length and perpendicular to the first parallel street.

– Vas. Olgas Avenue, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.

MUNICIPALITY OF PIRAEUS, from 09.00 to 14.00:

– 34th Infantry Regiment, in the section between Omiridou Skylitsi and El. Venizelou.

– Iroon Polytechniou, in the section between El. Venizelou and 2nd Division.

“Drivers of vehicles are asked to avoid additional traffic problems to avoid their movement on the roads where the parades will take place and to follow the instructions of the traffic controllers”, states the announcement of ELAS.
