A criminal organization, whose members were active in the possession and distribution of large quantities of cocaine in Attica, as well as in the wider area of Heraklion and Rethymnon, was abducted by the Crete Crime Crime Department of the Criminal Crime.

The case was arrested by 3 people, nationals aged 62, 63 and 60, members of the criminal organization, and the case is also accused of the case, whose details have been identified.
A criminal case was filed against them, as well as for violating drug and weapons legislation.
As it emerged from the investigation, after properly utilizing information, at least since June this year, the defendants had joined a criminal organization, consisting of at least four members, with constant action, specific structure, operational infrastructure and distinct roles, which were involved in the country,
How did they act
In terms of how modus operandi, members of the criminal organization had secured on the one hand the process of supplying and concealing large quantities of cocaine and the creation of an appropriate network of promotion at wholesale.
To this end they used a private car. A vehicle, where there was a specially designed crypt, operating with electric mechanism and specific automation.
This vehicle was used exclusively to transport the quantities of cocaine, which was then hidden by the 62 -year -old and 60 -year -old in a leased houses in areas of Attica.
After preparing the vehicle by hiding in the interior quantities of cocaine, it was received by the 63 -year -old, who had an exclusive role in the same day’s cocaine transfer to a member of the organization in the area of Crete.

In order to end the action of the members of the criminal organization, a police operation was organized with the participation of police officers of the Crete Organized Crime and the assistance of the EKAM Department. Crete, as well as OPKE of the Heraklion Crimes Prosecution and Delineation.
As part of the operation, the aforementioned vehicle was identified in the area of Heraklion and immobilized, where the research was found, the special crypt within the auxiliary wheel area was identified.
With appropriate combinations of action, an electrical release system of this area was activated, where -10 -10 – Vacuum packages containing cocaine totaling 11 kg and 736 grams were found.
The vehicle was seized as a means of transporting drugs, and the 63 -year -old was arrested.
At the same time, police officers from the Drug Enforcement Directorate of the Organized Crime Management Department were identified and arrested in the Attica area, the 62 -year -old and 60 -year -old.
What was found in investigations
In subsequent surveys conducted in houses and other spaces they used, they were found and confiscated in total:
- -18- Nylon packages containing raw cannabis total weight -1- kg and -212-grams,
- -4- Cannabis seedlings at the growth stage of 175 to 185 cm,
- -6- nylon packages containing cocaine totaling 15.8 grams,
- Improvised packaging (foil) containing boiled 2.6 grams of mixed gross cocaine,
- -2- Electronic precision scales,
- Flaubert type carbine,
- -2- pistols with a fired barrel,
- the sum of -2,000 -euro,
- -3- mobile phones,
- laptop computer,
- -2- Portable USB Stick storage devices and
- Car and motorcycle scooter.
According to the latest report by the Drug Enforcement Coordinating Body, the illegal asset earned by members of the organization is set at 200,000 to 280,000 euros, while the expected financial benefit from the sale of 11kg and 736 grams would amount to a sum of 293,400 to 410,760 euros.
The confiscated amount of cocaine will be sent to the competent chemical service for laboratory examination.
The detainees are taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, while the pre -trial work of the Crete Crime Response Department continues.
It is noted that a few days ago in Crete, a criminal organization, which had developed action in the prefectures of Chania and Rethymnon, was also dismantled, with the main object of drug trafficking and possession of drugs, weapons and ammunition, as well as the commission of blackmail and other serious offenses.
