Two Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid wages with the numbers “000” and “00” on their doors will be the PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally for 2025, which begins on Friday September 5th and ends on Sunday, September 7th.

Two more Ford Ranger will support the safety and proper operation of this year’s race. The first will take on the role of a safety car and the second will be given to the FIA ​​Observer. All cars were granted to the race by Ford Car Center.

Like any genuine Ranger, the plug-in Hybrid version features a durable frame and a sophisticated four-wheel drive system, allowing it to respond successfully to the difficult conditions of this year’s PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally. Drivers of Vehicles “000” and “00” will be able to effectively cope with any difficulty in their dirt special race thanks to the specialized Mud, Sand, Tow/Haul drivers.

In addition to the above, the company’s reliable 2.3L petrol engine, combined with the Plug-in Hybrid versions electric motor, yield a maximum power of 281 PS and a beast torque of 697 Nm-even larger than that of a Ranger Raptor. These features ensure the necessary effectiveness and speed of movement imposed on such support vehicles during a rally race. Depending on the conditions of the race, the new Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid can only move with electricity, only with the petrol engine, or a combination of both.

At the same time, the PHEV hard -working mains the economy offered by other Ranger diesel versions, offering impressive low consumption – just 3.4 lt/100 km (WLTP) thanks to the energy it uses from its battery, which can be charged anywhere – Autonomy and zero consumption of up to 50 km with purely electrical function.

Another unique feature of the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid that may be particularly useful during this year’s Pema Historic Acropolis Rally, are the two 230V/10A sockets in its body and can provide 2.3 kW power-enough for any electric tool needed to be used in remote and disintegration. The electrical power of these sockets can even … charge a second Ranger Plug-in Hybrid.

A few words about Pema Historic Acropolis Rally

This year’s PEMA Historic Acropolis Rally is the seventh round of the European Championship of Historic Car Rally, gathering 53 crews from 11 different countries. The emblematic race begins with the solemn launch at the Acropolis Monument on Friday, September 5th and ends on Sunday, September 7, after the 157.69 km long -term special routes – the total length of the race is 689.73 km. The race will “pass” through areas of Attica, Boeotia, Fthiotida and Fokida.
