A serious traffic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Piraeus, when a tram crashed on a parked bus on Asia Minor Street, shortly before leaving Grigoriou Lambrakis Avenue while landing passengers.
The collision injured 30 people, all slightly injured, including both drivers.
Specifically, according to EKAB, which attempted at the site of the accident with 7, one of which mobile medical unit, 2 motorcycles of the immediate intervention team, 16 rescuers and one doctor, a total of 24 injured were preventive in hospitals:
- 17 Lightly injured at Elefsina General Hospital “Thriassio”
- 6 injured at Attica General Hospital
- 1 minor child at Children’s Hospital “Hagia Sophia”
In a statement, STASY said that the driver felt unwell during the route and hit the urban bus. At the same time, he notes that before the collision, the train braking system was put into operation and limited the severity of the collision.

Regarding the traffic accident this afternoon between tram and a bus in Piraeus, EKAB responded to just 5 minutes after receiving the call.
