The arrest of two Turks, aged 62 and 72 in Chios for violating the provisions of the Law on Smuggling (National Customs Code) was proceeded with executives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Group (PODIN) of the Central Port Authority of Chios.
Specifically, in a search carried out on a sailboat, a Turkish flag, with the above, before its departure from the port of Chios, 4,000 mobile phones of various brands were identified and seized, which did not bring legally.

Overall were identified and seized 12,500 mobile phoneswhich did not bring the legal purchase documents – evidence and for which the detainees had not received permission from the competent customs authorities for their export to Turkey.
Devices did not carry a package box or accessories while the estimated value selling all of the mobile phones rises to 695,000 euros.
In addition, two mobile phones were seized, the Van’s I/F car, the Van type, a tablet and the money of 1,855 euros and 2,370 pounds of £ 2,370.
Preliminary investigation is carried out by the Central Port Authority of Chios.
