In a ‘green’ year, Heineken gives up the red star on a collectible label – Full glass

In times of COP26, Heineken took advantage of the return of cultural activities around the world to launch its Green Your City platform, which reinforces its commitment to sustainability actions in the cities where it is manufactured.

To celebrate this commitment, the brand launches in Brazil, with exclusivity, three new labels, in limited edition and collectible. The beers will be sold together, in a peck, with no change in value. The commemorative packaging should be available by mid-December, or while supplies last. On the special label, the brand gives up even the traditional red star, which gains shades of green.

“We want this commemorative edition to become a symbol of the challenges that are moving us today and of the commitments we made for a greener future. And that it can encourage our consumers to walk alongside us on this journey with less impact on the environment”, said Gabriel d’Angelo Braz, marketing director at Heineken.

Since last year, Heineken claims that its production is 100% renewable at its factories in Alagoinhas (BA), Araraquara (SP) and Ponta Grossa (PR). The next should be the Jacareí unit, in the interior of São Paulo. The brand’s plan is for the São Paulo factory to reach the goal by 2023.
