Jews celebrate their own New Year from Monday (22), in a celebration that extends until Wednesday (24). The period marks the arrival of year 5,786 in the Jewish calendar. To celebrate the date, it is common for candy, fish and typical Challah bread.

Because of the complexity of some recipes, buying ready dishes is a common option. With this in mind, confectioners and restaurants incorporate into their menus traditional Jewish culture recipes and even include David Stars and Chai, symbol of life, in sweets and delicacies.

The menu of Jewish and Mediterranean inspiration offers dishes prompt delivery and on order. In the fish, the salmon terrine (R $ 57, the unit) and the cream in the cream with onion and green apple (R $ 26; 100 g) are options. Of the puffs, there are ricotta burekas with spinach and potato and caramelized onion, each for R $ 16. The alternative to sweeten is Grandma Sarah’s honey cake, which takes nuts, honey and spices (R $ 260; 700 g).

Chocolat du Jour

The chocolate brand launches the can chai au lait (R $ 175; 210 g) in celebration of the date. The item brings the Chai symbol and the stars of David made of thin chocolate to milk, fully produced in Brazil. It is possible to purchase in the nine units of the network, through WhatsApp or on the site itself.

Chef-Patissière Luiza Lafer signs five exclusive order recipes. Challah with panting grapes and salpaded poppy seeds (R $ 60; 400 g) is one of them. Another version of Challah takes almond and apple cream filling and is finished with cinnamon (R $ 80; 450 g). The honey cake, prepared with almond flour and walnuts, is available in three sizes 10 cm (R $ 80); 16 cm (R $ 205) and R $ 20 cm (R $ 255). The sour apple pie, cinnamon cream and salt flower caramel (R $ 270; 20 cm) and almond and honey cookies (R $ 89, 180 g) complete the catalog.

The classic pickle of pickles-cucumber, beet, cauliflower or other vegetables-(R $ 28; 140 g) can serve as entrance or accompany meat and fish. The shpondre, slowly cooked beef ribs (R $ 172), is a main course option. Dessert, the original house pudding (R $ 130, 800 g) sweetens the New Year.
