The 20 -year -old was seriously injured in the port and shortly afterwards ended up succumbing to his injuries.
According to the Coast Guard, the young man was caught in a watertight sliding door of the ship’s garage ground floor, resulting in a serious injury.
EKAB ambulance took the injured and transported him to the hospital immediately. The port authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, while the competent prosecutor was informed.
In a statement, Blue Star said shocked and expressed its support to the deceased’s relatives.
