Problems and delays will be presented by Monday, October 6, in the process of recyclable materials from the blue bins in eastern Thessaloniki due to work at the Stable Equipment of the Thermi Recyclable Materials Sorting Center.
From today and at least for ten days the recyclable materials will be transported by municipalities in eastern Thessaloniki to more remote CDAs in western Thessaloniki (Sindos), which will bring delays and difficulties in their smooth management.
It was deemed necessary to transfer to Athens for specialized work basic equipment (bailiff) of the licensed unit of KDAV Thermi located next to the camp of Sedes.
For this reason, municipalities in eastern Thessaloniki served by this CDP have issued announcements where they inform residents, professionals and visitors about the problems that will be presented in the coming days and call for restraint in rejection of recyclables in the blue bins.
At the same time, they ask citizens to help address the situation by avoiding excessive deposition of materials in the blue bins, to reduce the volume of packaging through compression, in the event of bins, to use closely available or temporarily maintain materials at home and not leave them out of the bins.
