Renault Austral complements the Renault’s hybrid part of Renault’s aggressive policy in segments C and D, as expressed by the Renaulution strategic plan.

The new Renault Austral has been fully modernized, perceived by its completely redesigned front. The elements of Renault’s new design language are visible to most of the body features, giving it an overall appearance that emphatically denotes its affinity with the other hybrid models of Segment C and D, such as Rafale.

The interior reflects the elegance of the design style of the body, and has new seats and new wallpapers. Technologically, the new model is placed in a category higher, as it has driver recognition and new applications available through the OpenR Link system, with Google built -in features.

Extremely flexible, the new Renault Austral offers a unique driving experience, both on long trips and daily trips. With the Full Hybrid E-Tech drive a total of 200hp and the multi-functioning transmission without clutch, it is one of the best market proposals in areas such as power, economy, and comfort in driving.

The 4Control Advanced 4Control System, Multi-Sense and 32 new ADAS systems also help ensure one of the best levels of driving comfort and safety.

Stylish and elegant exterior design

Transformation

The exterior design of the new Renault Austral has received significant changes. The new bonnet, the bumper and the front grille give the car character. Reflecting the brand’s new design elements, the front grille features small embossed ‘diamonds’ that frame the brand’s signal. The accuracy in designing these details fits perfectly with the new, high -tech, front and rear lights.

The upgrade of the style is visible and in many other body features. At the back, in particular, the upper and central part of the luggage compartment door are distinguished for their most elegant lines.

New Lighting Signature

The light signature of the new Renault Austral is unique, both day and night, with new front and rear light fixtures and day -to -day DRL (DRL), adorning the edges of the front bumper.

The headlights have standard Adaptive LED Vision technology. Matrix Vision technology controls a larger number of parts of the LED beam, for ideal lighting performance, excellent visibility and comfort at night driving for the driver, without affecting drivers moving in the opposite direction.

The driver can continue to use the big lights, regardless of the traffic around him.

When the rear lights are lit, they take the shape of a square divided into seven sections, inspired by the Chinese puzzle Tangram. When the rear lights are off, they look like “floating ice cubes”, a look that follows the trends of the time.

Innovative Driver Recognition System

For the first time in the range, the new Renault Austral is fitted with a driver recognition system, using a camera mounted on the front left pillar (A-Pillar).

When the driver enters the car, the system is able to automatically activate the following personalization options: Home screen menu, radio stations and multimedia options, driving position (driver’s electric setting and side mirrors) and Google applications through the OPENR LINK system. The camera scans the driver’s face every time he opens his door.

Even more hospitable cabin with improved sound insulation level

In addition to their impressive appearance, the new front seats also provide improved side support. The seats also have new investments, consisting of 98% of recycled “egée” fabric.

The sound insulation has also been improved thanks to the new door seals, the base of the new design mirrors, which helps to limit aerodynamic noises and, the Esprit Alpine versions, the specially treated glass glazed glass on the front doors.

Underneath the bonnet, a new sound-absorbing material has been installed, and new engine bases for quieter driving.

Advanced networking capabilities

The OpenR system dual display includes a 12 ” screen for the dashboard and a 9 or 12.3 -inch display for the multimedia system, depending on the version. Along with the 9.3 ” HUD (Head-Up Display) system, the total surface of the digital screens reaches 1,000cm, which is equivalent to the surface of three touch-screen tablets.

In addition to the improved connectivity of Bluetooth, Carplay and Android Auto, the multimedia system features new graphics and a welcome melody that evolved in collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre.

The Google Maps app is regularly updated and now includes:

A feature that allows you to send your destination from your phone to the car.

Multi -point route design, which allows you to change your journey while on the road and add or change attitude, for example.

Environment -friendly route design: List of capabilities now includes the lowest consumption route.

In the same way as Waze, drivers can report incidents on the street and share them with the users community (speed cameras, police presence, road closure, etc.).

Renault also has a permanent basis, new exclusive features, such as “Take a Break!”. A face recognition camera detects if the driver closes his eyes, he often opens, or yawns. If this is the case, the system emits a warning, suggesting the driver to take a break.
