A rally and march of protest took place earlier in Athens and Thessaloniki on the occasion of the interception of the Global Sumudilla International Sumudilla, which was heading to the Gaza Strip for Humanitarian Aid by Israel.
The call was set for 18:30 in the Freedom Park, with protesters then heading to the Israeli embassy.

The organizers denounce the attack on a humanitarian aid mission, expressing their solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanding that the war in Gaza be ended.
In Thessaloniki, the mobilization started by the statue of Venizelos, where a rally had been preceded, and continued on the main streets of the city.
The mobilization was attended by colleges, student associations, members of the extra -parliamentary left and people from the antisocial area.
The protesters held flags of Palestine, banners and placards, while shouting slogans with a central demand “to stop the genocide in Gaza” and to allow ships with humanitarian aid to approach the excluded area.
The target of their slogans, according to the GRTimes, found Israel, NATO, the EU, the US and the Greek government, which they accuse of “complicity” with its attitude.
