A serious accident occurred Monday afternoon (13/10) in Sindos, Thessaloniki, when a young man was seriously injured after falling indoors.

The man reportedly lost consciousness and crashed by a staircase, resulting in multiple injuries.

The incident happened around 19:00, and rescuers and a doctor of EKAB was rushed to the spot. The rescue operation evolved with complete coordination, following the international protocols for the management of heavy injuries.

According to the EKAB Workers’ Association, immobilization, intracheal intubation and rejuvenation procedures were implemented in order to stabilize its condition. The injured man, according to preliminary estimates, was taken in critical condition to the on -call hospital.

The operation involved two ambulances, two rapid response engines and a mobile medical unit, with a total of eight rescuers and one EKAB physician fighting to keep the young man alive.

The conditions under which the fall was reported are investigated by the competent police authorities.
