A new tragic incident occurred in the Aegean in the morning, when a high -speed boat carried by foreigners in the Paradisi Marine area of Rhodes, resulting in the death of two occupants.
According to a Coast Guard’s announcement, a Port Authority patrol boat, which was planned patrolling, found a suspected speedboat moving high on the coast of Rhodes. Despite the bright and audio signals for immobilization, his operator did not comply, resulting in a pursuit.
During the pursuit, the speedboat carried out dangerous maneuvers and overturned, with the result that its occupants fall into the sea. Immediately the patrol crew, with the assistance of a second port of the Port, collected 16 people (12 men and 4 women), as well as two people without their senses – a man and a minor.
The rescuers were safely transported to the port of Rhodes, while the two corpses were initially delivered to a ceremonial office and then to the cemetery of Rhodes Hospital.
Three foreigners, aged 30, 31 and 32 -were arrested by the Central Port Authority of Rhodes -Azerbaijan and Armenia -who were recognized by the other occupants as the traffickers. A case was filed against them for violating the articles of illegal transfer of immigrants, apathy, shipwreck and homicide by negligence.
The Port Authority of Rhodes is investigating, and a necropsy is ordered for the two victims. The transport vessel sank into the maritime area of the incident.
