Athens will be on strike for Wednesday, April 6, as GSEE and ADEDY have declared a 24-hour strike, in which employees from all sectors participate.
GSEE and ADEDY call the employees at 11 in the morning in Klafthmonos square.
The corresponding traffic regulations in the center of Athens will apply from early in the morning.
The Fixed Orbit Means (Metro, Electric and Tram) will be immobilized throughout tomorrow, as announced by the workers’ unions of STASY.
Immobilized will be the trainsincluding the Suburban, as well as trolleys due to participation in 24-hour strike of the Panhellenic Railway Federation and the ILPAP Workers’ Union respectively.
Modifications to TRAINOSE itineraries
TRAINOSE announced changes to the itineraries scheduled for April 5 to 7. More detail:
Serres – Thessaloniki
05/04/2022 The train 3632 will be executed by bus (the parking lots of SS Gallikos, Pedino, Metalliko, Hersos, Strymonas, Sidirokastro, Skotousa will not take place).
07/04/2022 Train 3631 will be operated by bus (the parking lots of SS Gallikos, Pedino, Metalliko, Hersos, Strymonas, Sidirokastro, Skotousa will not take place).
Florina – Thessaloniki
· 05/04/2022 The train 85 will be carried out by train in the section Thessaloniki – Edessa (the return of the train from Edessa to Thessaloniki as a gap of material). In the section Edessa – Florina the train 85 will be executed by bus (the parking of SS Arnissa will not take place).
05/04/2022 The train 3742 is abolished.
Athens – Chalkida
05/04/2022 The train 2534 will be carried out by train in the section Athens – Oinoi (the return of the train from Oinoi-AIP as empty of material). In the section Oinoi – Chalkida the train 2534 will be executed by bus (the parking of the SS Agios Georgios Chalkida will not take place).
05/04/2022 The train 2539 (Chalkida – Oinoi) will be operated by bus.
Smooth branch – Stylida
05/04/2022 The buses 11526, 11527, 11528, 11529, 12520, 12521, 14520, 14521 will operate normally.
Piraeus – Kiato
05/04/2022 The train 2302 is abolished. Train 2304 will be operated by bus (only parking will be provided in Piraeus, Athens, Kato Acharnai, Liosia, Megara, Corinth, Kiato).
Work stops on city buses
City buses will make work stops from start of the shift until 9:00 a.m.. and from 21:00 until the end of the shift according to a decision of the OASA Workers’ Union. It is noted that the restoration of traffic is expected around 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.. while the latest itineraries are expected from 20:00 or earlier.
What do transport workers claim?
Transport workers are demanding the signing of a “Collective Bargaining Agreement, Strengthening Public Transport, taking measures to prevent the impoverishment of the population, addressing the accuracy and removing the obstacles imposed by law by trade union action” “Hatzidaki”, as they state in their announcements and invite the employees to take part in the gathering at 11 p.m. in Klafthmonos square.
Normal Flights – Air traffic controllers do not strike
Commercial aircraft will operate normally, as the court ruled that A 24-hour strike declared by air traffic controllers, following an appeal by the Civil Aviation.
Strike in Thessaloniki as well
OASTH informs the passenger public that the OASTH Workers’ Union has decided to participate in the 24-hour strike announced by GSEE and ADEDY for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 6.
The bus lines will be operated by security personnel.
The itineraries of the specially adapted vehicles for the service of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the night line N1 that operates the route KTEL – Night Airport will be performed normally.
