A 47-year-old man was arrested in Nea Makri at noon on Saturday for possession and trafficking of drugs in the wider area of Attica.
An appropriate utilization of information regarding the action of the accused in the wider area of Attica was preceded, while after police actions, verifications and profiling, his criminal activity was certified.
During the operation carried out by police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate, the accused was immediately arrested, as he possessed, in a vehicle he was driving in Nea Makri, Attica, quantities of cocaine and cannabis, hydroponically cultivated, with the purpose of further trafficking.
An investigation followed in a fenced plot in Nea Makri, where it was found that he had hidden inside coop over one kilo of cocaine and one kilo of cannabishydroponically grown (skunk), as well as in his home, where the same narcotic substances were also detected.
In total, from the searches, the following were found and seized:
- 1,254 grams of cocaine,
- 1,023 grams of “SKUNK” hydroponic raw hemp,
- 2 cars and 2 motorbikes,
- 2 precision scales,
- 43,185 euros,
- 2 mobile phones,
- nylon wrap roll and
- a number of nylon packages suitable for drug packaging.
It is noted that the accused has engaged the authorities again in the past for similar crimes.
The arrested person, with the case filed against him, for violating the drug legislation, was taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
