Clarifications on the transport of Despina Vandi in a patrol car when she ran out of rubber, are given by sources of the Greek Police, after reactions caused by a related video that saw the light of day.

The incident reportedly took place last August in Kallithea, Halkidiki, and a video of her transfer was shown this morning, Tuesday, October 21, on the “Breakfast” show.

ELAS sources note that Despina Vandi was moving on an avenue that does not have Lea, has only two traffic lanes and was moving towards Kallithea in Halkidiki. At one point, she stopped her vehicle because her tire was damaged, she turned the vehicle to the right, as a result of which she was blocking one lane of traffic. “As there was no emergency lane passing by, a traffic patrol car realized that she was there and to avoid drifting and a traffic accident, he put cones behind her vehicle and took her to the nearest point to get a taxi to leave, while we also took care of the quick transport of the vehicle to avoid a traffic accident at the scene”, they say and emphasize:

“No EDE, the colleagues did their duty to protect the passengers and avoid an accident at the scene”
