The funeral of Dionysis Savvopoulos, who died last Tuesday at the age of 81, will be held on Saturday, October 25 in the Metropolis of Athens, at one in the afternoon.

Burial will follow in the First Cemetery of Athens, according to a post by the songwriter’s family on social networks.

For those who wish to say goodbye to him, his body will be in the chapel of the Metropolis of Athens (in popular pilgrimage), on Saturday morning from 8.30 am to 11.30 am.

The family wishes, in lieu of wreaths, that money be offered to:

As it became known yesterday, the funeral of Dionysis Savvopoulos will be held at public expense. The relevant Joint Ministerial Decision is signed by the Ministers of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Interior Thodoris Livanios and Culture Lina Mendoni, as well as the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Thanos Petralias.
