Police proceeded to arrest a man who cheated two women by phone in Kilkis, extracting the amount of 65,000 euros.
According to the General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia, on October 22 and 24 an accomplice of the arrested person called 2 women in areas of Kilkis pretending to be a doctor and claimed that their child was injured, asking for money to allegedly undergo an immediate surgery.
In fact, in order to convince them, another accomplice pretended to be their allegedly injured child on the phone.
In this way, they managed to extract a total of 65,000 euros from them, which the arrested person received.
Using the same methodology, they tried on October 22nd to defraud 2 other women in areas of Kilkis, demanding a total of 85,000 euros, without however managing to extract anything.
The investigation by the police continues both for the identification of the identity details of his accomplices, as well as for their possible participation in other similar criminal acts.
The arrested person, with the case filed against him, will be taken to the Kilkis First Instance Prosecutor.
